About the Event

Join us for an insightful virtual gathering with special guest speaker, educator and historian Jamon Jordan.

Together we will take a look at the role protests, rebellions and uprisings have taken part in our history and our present day lives.  Mr. Jordan will challenge us to see United States and Detroit history in a new way.  From the Boston Tea Party to Black Lives Matter, resistance and protests are part of the American fabric.  But do they work?

In 2013, Jamon Jordan founded the Black Scroll Network, a company dedicated to preserving the legacy of Detroit's role in monumental historic events from the underground railroad through the civil rights movement.

On June 13th at 7:00 pm, Mr. Jordan will present “Rebellions Work: We All Stand on the Shoulder of Those Who Came Before Us”.  We hope to see you there!

Upon registration, you will receive confirmation.  Before…
