RENAISSANCE UNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE

2025 Life Remodeled Six Day Project

Life Remodeled question.JPG

Renaissance Unity has participated in Life Remodeled’s Six Day Project for the last two years.  This is a project that has a high impact on the Detroit neighborhood in which we are working.

This year, the Six Day Project is scheduled for Monday, September 29 through Saturday, October 4.  This year the project takes place in Detroit’s eastside community surrounding Anchor Detroit, which is in the old Regina High School and includes the Denby High School area. (This is the same area we worked last year.) Anchor Detroit is a Life Remodeled Center that houses a variety of non-profits that serve the neighborhood.

Renaissance Unity volunteers will come together for our annual participation in the Six Day Project as an organization on October 4th. We will address blight on vacant properties throughout the neighborhoods.
Last year, Renaissance Unity had more than 25 participants as part of the 5,000+ other volunteers.

Our activities include mowing grass, trimming overgrown brush and weeds and picking up trash, tires and other debris. Life Remodeled provides all the tool necessary for the neighborhood cleanup.  All you need to have is work gloves.  In addition, Life Remodeled has vehicles to pick up the debris cleared from the lots.  There are also other activities for participants of all ages and abilities.

Steve Selander has sign-up sheets outside the auditorium for those attending church services live.  Others interested in participating may sign up online by emailing Steve at sselander@selanderlaw.com. For those who do not have email, Steve’s phone number is (248) 930-8393.
