Too often a “time-out” is considered a form of punishment, but in my decision to stay close to you, I know that it isn’t. Making time to step away when there is too much happening all at the same time, helps me shift from being reactive to responsive.
I feel you with me. Making a space for quiet when my world gets too loud, gives me a chance to breathe deeply and clear out the noisy thoughts that can cloud my judgement.
I hear you with me. Making time to be with you, to establish calm inside of my mind, body, and spirit, gifts me with a deeper appreciation for my life and all of the experiences that are a part of it.
I am so grateful for this time-out with you.
