Throughout my day, the device I carry in my pocket makes ringing sounds, flashes light, and vibrates. It begs for my attention to notify me of the latest news in my city and the world, which most often does not bring a smile to my face.
I breathe in and your loving energy blesses me. I am no longer at the mercy of what once wanted my attention.
My eyes are open to the masterpieces of kindness, however small. It can be a smile from a passerby, or a group of volunteers planting flowers in a park.
Your presence helps me focus on what my heart wants to perceive, which is a world full of good that is infectious and helps me choose to be a flashing light of kindness for others to see.
