When I don’t feel safe, my internal systems get loud.
As I’ve grown closer to you, I’ve come to understand how important it is for me to go within and listen, even when it would seem easier to simply ignore my feelings.
I know when the level of fear I’m feeling doesn’t seem justified by circumstances, I still need to listen compassionately to my feelings – no matter how loud they are. What are they offering me?
I know when the level of fear I’m feeling does feel justified, I need to quickly become quiet so that I can listen for guidance on how I can respond. What do I need to do to protect myself?
When I approach my fears with the gift of discernment, which you so lovingly make available, I feel able to move through my feelings of fear with respect.
